Bread & butter pudding

Feeling a bit under the weather? Snuggle up and enjoy.
- Make a simple custard by beating 2 eggs with 2 Tbsp caster sugar and the zest of 1/2 a lemon until light and fluffy. Heat 300ml cream with 1/2 a vanilla pod, then whisk into the egg. Set aside.
- Cut french bread into thick chunks and butter them liberally. Add the bread to your mugs and fill them up with custard. Sprinkle with chocolate chunks or grated nutmeg and bake in a 180degC oven until the custard is set, about 25-30 minutes.
Use walnut bread or spicy fruit loaf.
