Gluten-free chocolate and almond brownie 8/3/2012 Amanda Laird Your Rating: Ratings: No ratings yet Make a Comment Add to Favourites 3 Serves 12 Print Ingredients 200 g Butter 1½ cups Caster sugar 3 tsp Vanilla extract 4 Eggs 1 cup Dutch cocoa powder ¾ tsp Baking powder, (gluten free) ½ tsp Salt 1¼ cups Rice flour ¼ cup Slivered almonds ½ cup Dark chocolate, (chopped, plus an extra half a cup to add after baking) 1 to serve Whipped cream, (softly whipped) + Add to shopping list Directions Preheat oven to 180 degC. Melt the butter in a saucepan then stir in the sugar and vanilla. Remove from the heat and whisk in the eggs, one at a time. Sift the cocoa, baking powder, salt and rice flour together. Add to the egg and butter mixture with the almonds and chocolate. Pour into the prepared slice tin and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the centre is slightly firm to the touch.
