|1 tbsp||Icing sugar|
|1 tsp||Cream of tartar|
|1 tsp||Baking soda|
|225 g||Canned sliced pineapple|
- Sift flour, icing sugar, cream of tartar, baking soda and cinnamon into a bowl. Make a well in the centre.
- Beat milk and egg together. Stir into flour mixture until a smooth batter.
- Peel apple and remove core. Cut apple into rings. Drain pineapple and pat dry on paper towels. Heat oil in a saucepan. Dip pineapple and apple rings into batter, stirring batter each time before dipping fruit slices.
- Fry fritters in hot oil until golden. Drain on paper towels and sift over icing sugar. Serve immediately with ice-cream.
