Heat oven to 180 degC. Line the base and sides of a 17cm x 27cm slice tin with nonstick baking paper, leaving an overhang on all sides.
Combine butter, brown sugar and salt in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until pale and creamy. Stir in flour to form a stiff dough. Press mixture into base of prepared tin. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Meanwhile, in the same bowl, combine eggs, honey, sugar and melted butter and mix well. Add chocolate bits and nuts and pour mixture over prepared base.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly caramelised and set. Cool in the tin before cutting into squares or bars
