Balsamic Braised Red Cabbage and Onions

Serves 4

Cabbage and onions have never tasted so sweet or so good!  Serve as a side with any meat dish.

Ingredients

½ Red cabbage
2 Red onions
1.33 cups Raisins
2 tbsp Olive oil
3 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
1 to taste Salt & freshly ground pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 190 degC. Place all ingredients in an oven pan, season with salt and pepper and toss well. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove foil and toss ingredients well. Continue cooking for 10 minutes more, until cabbage is crisp-tender and lightly browned in places.
