3 Granny Smith apples 3 Gala apples ¼ cup maple-flavoured syrup 1 tsp cinnamon ¼ cup water vanilla custard, to serve 1. Peel, core and thickly slice all the apples and place in a large saucepan

¼ cup Maple syrup
1 tsp Cinnamon
¼ cup Thick and creamy vanilla custard

Directions

  1. Peel, core and thickly slice all 3 Granny Smith apples and 3 Gala apples and place in a large saucepan with the maple syrup, cinnamon and water.
  2. Cook over a medium heat, stirring regularly, until apple softens and caramelises to golden brown. This takes 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Serve with store-bought vanilla custard.
