This chocolate bark is delicious as a post-dinner treat, and also makes a great Christmas gift. Package up three or four pieces in a cellophane bag and tie with your favourite ribbon.
Ingredients
2 tbsp
Dried apricots
2 tbsp
Dried cranberries
2 tbsp
Currants
2 tbsp
Pistachio nuts
2 tbsp
Slivered almonds
200 g
Dark chocolate
Directions
Place chopped dried fruits and nuts in a bowl and toss well to combine. Line two trays with greaseproof paper.
Melt chocolate in microwave or by placing in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water for three to five minutes. Stir until smooth. Spread chocolate out thickly in bark-like shapes and sprinkle with dried fruit and nuts.
Leave in a cool place to set, then remove from paper. Serve with coffee.
Preheat oven to 180 degC and grease a baking dish with a little softened butter. Sift the flour, sugar, cinnamon and cocoa...
