This chocolate bark is delicious as a post-dinner treat, and also makes a great Christmas gift. Package up three or four pieces in a cellophane bag and tie with your favourite ribbon.

Directions

  1. Place chopped dried fruits and nuts in a bowl and toss well to combine. Line two trays with greaseproof paper.
  2. Melt chocolate in microwave or by placing in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water for three to five minutes. Stir until smooth. Spread chocolate out thickly in bark-like shapes and sprinkle with dried fruit and nuts.
  3. Leave in a cool place to set, then remove from paper. Serve with coffee.

    I am making this for my Easter Egg this year, my family will be away, so my choice, delightful and with a magazine and a good book, maybe a glass of wine, a sure winner
