Chocolate cherry tarts

Serves 12

Ingredients

⅓ cup Cream
150 g Dark chocolate bits, or melts
2 tbsp Kirsch, (cherry liqueur or substitute brandy)
12 Sweet pastry tart cases
24 Cherries, fresh

Directions

  1. Heat cream in a bowl in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove top. Add chocolate to the hot cream and set aside briefly to melt. Whisk mixture until smooth. Whisk in the liqueur.
  2. Spoon chocolate mixture into prepared pastry cases to fill and set aside to cool and set.
  3. Arrange two cherries on the top of each chocolate tart to serve.
