Fruity afghan slice

Ingredients

200 g Butter
¾ cup Brown sugar
1¼ cups Flour
¼ cup Cocoa powder
2 cups Cornflakes
½ cup Dried cranberries
½ cup Raisins
2 cups Icing sugar
1 tbsp Cocoa powder
25 g Butter
3 tsp Water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degC. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in combined flour and cocoa, then cornflakes, cranberries and raisins.
  2. Press mixture into a lined 28 x 20cm lined slice pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until firm and cracked on top.
  3. Sit slice pan on a cake rack to cool, then turn slice out onto a board.
  4. Mix together icing sugar and cocoa in a bowl, add melted butter and enough hot water to make a firm icing. Spread chocolate icing over cooled slice.
